retained were three chicks
a yellow face grey normal /opaline cock ..poss /cinnamon doubtful but could be /lw gb8-012-
and thirdly
yf opaline grey hen -gb8-012-
this pair went on to lay 7 eggs again all fertile but due to some kind of food poisoning i lost 4 new born chicks after first day all hatched healthy all died in two days vet put it down to food poisoning the mother also sadly died of same thing not till raising one chick to two weeks old
the father distrort by all his loses was mothering chick to tightly and started to pluck i removed chick very quickly to foster nest where its been raised beautifully
this chick i rang with 011 ring as she was to young to make ubc bird shields and had 011 rings left
i really hope she grows on how i expect her to
im very sad to of lost mum but with two beautiful hens and two reasonable cocks im sure i can breed this line on in my stud to her cousin a opaline cinnamon light green hen -011 i brought last year late :)
